Minnesota’s Toxic Release Inventory

A new report shows that industrial facilities dumped over 2 million pounds of toxic chemicals into Minnesotas waterways in 2007, the most recent year for which data is available.

The Environment Minnesota report, entitled Wasting Our Waterways: Industrial Toxic Pollution and the Unfulfilled Promise of the Clean Water Act, documents dangerous levels of pollutants discharged in to Americas waters by compiling toxic chemical releases reported to the U.S. EPAs Toxics Release Inventory for 2007.
